You\u2019re experiencing the most beautiful moments of your life, whether you\u2019re waiting to welcome your baby into the world or watching them grow and change with each passing day!<\/p>\n

In addition to happiness and excitement, you often feel stress and anxiety\u2014emotions that are perfectly normal to experience on the journey of motherhood.<\/p>\n

1st<\/sup>\u00a0week<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the first week of pregnancy, you may still have your period.<\/p>\n

This week is technically considered the first week of pregnancy, even though you are not yet pregnant at this stage.<\/p>\n

It is extremely difficult to pinpoint the exact moment when the sperm meets the egg, since your partner\u2019s sperm can survive in your body for several days before fertilization occurs.<\/p>\n

That is why the first day of your last period marks the start of the forty weeks that pregnancy lasts.<\/p>\n

Your body begins to produce estrogen and progesterone, the hormones necessary to prepare your body.<\/p>\n

During your period, the egg prepares to travel down the fallopian tubes, hoping to be \u201ccaptured\u201d by a lucky and strong sperm.<\/p>\n

2\u03b7<\/sup>\u00a01st week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your period has ended, and your body is preparing for conception.<\/p>\n

Ovulation\u2014the process by which a mature egg is released from the follicle\u2014will occur shortly.<\/p>\n

The egg travels down into the fallopian tubes and\u2026<\/p>\n

A joyful night kicks off the adventure!<\/p>\n

Tip: It\u2019s a good idea to start taking folic acid before you get pregnant.<\/p>\n

3rd week<\/strong><\/p>\n

During this third week, the fertilized egg will implant in the uterus.<\/p>\n

What is amazing is that at the moment of conception, the baby\u2019s entire genetic code has already been written.<\/p>\n

Its DNA has been fully synthesized.<\/p>\n

From that moment on, all the details\u2014such as whether it will be a boy or a girl, who the baby will resemble, the color of its hair, eyes, and skin, and its genetic traits\u2014are already determined.<\/p>\n

Of course, the baby\u2019s sex can only be determined by ultrasound at 12 weeks.<\/p>\n

4th week<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fertilized egg immediately begins to divide as it travels toward the uterus.<\/p>\n

Immediately after fertilization, your baby\u2019s sex\u2014whether it will be a boy or a girl\u2014is determined.<\/p>\n

The sperm contains either the \u201cX\u201d chromosome (girl) or the \u201cY\u201d chromosome (boy), and this determines your baby\u2019s sex.<\/p>\n

The cells contain all the necessary genetic information (DNA) to create the embryo.<\/p>\n

The development of your baby begins with this single fertilized egg, which initially divides into 2, then 4, 8, and so on.<\/p>\n

Forty-six chromosomes have combined to determine the physical characteristics of this new life.<\/p>\n

The embryo reaches the uterus approximately 80 hours after ovulation.<\/p>\n

The implantation process begins about 3 days later.<\/p>\n
